Modernization of the enterprise network

Budweiser Budvar, a national enterprise, is a state brewery based in České Budějovice, founded in 1895. It produces traditional Czech lager under the brands Budweiser Budvar, Budweiser Budvar and Czechvar for export to the USA. The brewery is 100% owned by the Czech Republic and is one of the most important Czech beer producers, exporting to more than 70 countries around the world. The production is based on local raw materials — Žatec hops, Moravian malt, own yeast and water from an artesian source. Budvar is famous for adhering to the traditional method of long maturation of beer, which ensures its characteristic taste and quality.

Budweiser Budvar n.p. faced the need to modernize the corporate network, which was crucial for ensuring greater stability, security and performance. The existing infrastructure required the deployment of new network elements and efficient management of the server environment, while minimizing the impact on the brewery's operations.

The project included the deployment of a new platform for perimeter security and network segmentation, upgrading the network backbone with powerful core switches, and restoring the access layer including enterprise Wi‑Fi elements. All components were pre-configured and tested in a laboratory environment. Implementation ran in parallel in several teams, allowing rapid migration from the original infrastructure without impacting operations. Over the course of four days, 63 network devices were replaced in the “one-to-one” mode, without interrupting the operation of the enterprise.

The project was successfully completed and brought significant improvements to the stability, security and performance of the network to the client. The upgraded infrastructure enables efficient management and scalability for the future. A five-year service contract is also included, which ensures long-term support and trouble-free operation.

After successful implementation of the project, cooperation continues in the form of a long-term service contract. This includes regular maintenance, monitoring, updates and technical support, ensuring stable operation of the network and readiness for future technological changes.
