Gumokov a.s. is a major manufacturer of rubber components for the automotive and engineering industries. The company is distinguished by a long tradition, high production quality and orientation towards innovation. As part of the restructuring, it separated from the international Trelleborg Group, which required the creation of a separate IT infrastructure and ensuring continuity of operations.
Gumokov a.s. separated from the Trelleborg Group, which required complete continuity of IT operations and the creation of a new central infrastructure. The project included SAP system migration, migration to Microsoft 365, end-device reinstallation via Intune, and efficient management of an international project including subcontractors. A key challenge was the limited collaboration with the original group and the complex scope of the project.
The project included the deployment of a comprehensive security solution for perimeter protection and network segmentation, upgrading the backbone infrastructure through new core switches, server and data platforms, as well as the implementation of a virtualization environment and a centralized data backup and recovery system. The delivery also included building a Microsoft 365 enterprise environment for unified communication and user collaboration.
The preparatory phase lasted six months and included a detailed analysis of the existing environment, the design and implementation of the central infrastructure, the definition of migration procedures and the implementation of the initial migration. The final transition to the new environment was implemented during a two-week corporate holiday to minimize the impact on the organization's operations.
The project objectives have been successfully achieved. The company received a modern, secure and stable IT infrastructure. An agreement was made to support the entire infrastructure.
